To upload workouts directly from my CycleOps device:
Sign in to your account and connect the download cable to your computer. Connect your CycleOps device and turn it on.
- Select Add Workout in the navigator. A pop-up appears.
- Select the Sport > Subactivity (Optional)….
- Select CycleOps > Device.
- Select Scan for Joule... Before you do this, make sure your Joule device is connected to the computer USB port and make sure it’s powered on!
- If the device is connected, you will see a pop-up. iQO2 scans for all coupled devices.
- In this case the workouts coming from 1 device are displayed in the tab workouts. On the left hand side the device is displayed eg. Joule GPS - physiomed.team. On the right side, you see : Workouts - The list of available workouts in your Joule GPS.
- Close Joule - clicking this button disconnects the device and returns you to the main screen.
- Clear Joule - erases the details of all workouts from the Joule memory - the workout history will not be erased from the unit, only the workout details.
- Once you have selected the workouts you want to download from your device, push on the Download workouts button.
- You will then see a popup that the workouts are being downloaded.
- The Joule workouts are now downloaded and listed. In this case one workout has been downloaded.
- Now you can edit workouts and enter a description and information.
- Send your workouts to the IQO2 server by clicking on the Send workouts to server button.
- If you save all the workouts you need, click on the red icon in the upper right corner of the IQO2 Device Agent to close it. You will see IQO2 is closing the device and you will return to the main screen.
Once you have finished the wizard, you can analyze the data in iQO2. The workouts will be listed by activity and date in the Workouts - history/details. You can recognize the CycleOps workouts in the history list by the icon.
Important: upload settings! (step 4)
You see two fields where you can enter a time value (hh:mm:ss).
These settings are designed to help you get the data you want, without storing lots of useless data (such as your pit stops). The default settings are as follows:
- Shortest time of continuous data to be valid and stored
- This one determines the minimum duration of a workout. If your device contains shorter rides, they will not be downloaded from the unit.
- Default setting = 2 minutes.
- If you do a very short effort, such as a standing start, that‘s shorter than a minute, and you stop before and after, YOUR DATA WON‘T BE SAVED. If you do these kinds of efforts, make sure you change this setting to something like 5 seconds.
- Longest interruption time in a single training file
- This one determines the maximum pause between workouts.
If your device contains data where there are time gaps in between them which are shorter than the time value entered, they will be merged automatically into one workout. - For example, if you do 2 workouts in 1 day with only 2 hours between them, then you have to enter a value lower than 2 hours.
- Default setting = 2 hours.
- If you‘re doing multiple sessions in one day, you can change this setting depending on whether you want your rides to show as one file or two. If you keep the default setting, any rides that you do with less than a 2 hour break between them will be stored as one file. If you have a break longer than 2 hours, the rides will be stored as two files. If you want a separate file for every training session you do, change this setting to one hour or less.
- This one determines the maximum pause between workouts.
